Lisey's Story, The Australian Open 2009 & Alam Damai Park

Hi, I have mentioned that I bought two new books recently to read. The books are Lisey's Story (Stephen King) and Double Cross (James Patterson). Since I finished my first Stephen King novel, Duma Key, I am more interested to read more of his novels. He is a very good author. Lisey's Story is a story about Lisey, a widow who lost her husband in a planned murder during the launch of a library. Her husband was an established author called Scott Landon. He wrote quite a lot of books and received good responses from his readers. It talks about how Lisey copes with the death of her husband at home. She also began to receive mysterious phone calls from a man which she feels a little threatening. As she copes with this, she also hears her husband's voice talking to her, giving her help on coping with his death. The memories of her husband's murder came back to her as well during her time of coping. So far, I have read only about 1/6 of the book, which is about 100 pages out of about 650 pages in total. Interesting. Here are the pictures of Duma Key and Lisey's Story. These are the new covers from Hodder that came out in 2008 and 2007 respectively. Have you been watching Australian Open 2009? It is one of the most prestigious tennis championships, also known as Grand Slams held every year. The Australian Open is held in Melbourne. I watched it with my family through Star Sports on Astro's Channel 813. It's coming to an end soon on Sunday with the Men's Singles Finals. Roger Federer, the world Number 2 will be meeting either Rafael Nadal or Fernando Verdasco in the finals. Rafael Nadal is playing with Fernando Verdasco currently. Fernando is quite good in the Australian Open this year beating Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Quarter and Semi Finals respectively. He also won the first set of the match with Rafael Nadal so far. It is a very exciting match with Fernando Verdasco playing his very best. The same for Rafael Nadal. Fernando may be able to beat Nadal. For the Ladies Singles, Dinara Safina from Russia will play Serena Williams in the finals tomorrow. Maybe Dinara Safina will win the Australian Open 2009. For the Men's Singles, I think that Roger Federer will win this year's Australian Open. He is back on form. Making a lot of amazing shots in his previous matches. In the 4th round, he recovered from a 2 set down and beat Tomas Berdych in 5 sets. He kept his cool and won it in the end. Went for a walk at Alam Damai Park (ADP), Cheras for the first time at around 0730 this morning. It is a beaufiful park although it has less trees than Taman Tasik Permaisuri. It is nearer to my house. It is also smaller than Taman Tasik Permaisuri. The air at the park was fresh too. Saw the sunrise when I went there. Covered two rounds of walking. There are two dancing groups this morning. One is a larger group dancing to all sorts of music, similar to the one in Taman Tasik Permaisuri on weekends. It is called Senaman Aerobik. Maybe I can join in too. Good form of exercise eh? :-). It has less hilly too compared to Taman Tasik Permaisuri (TTP). TTP also has specially designed pavements for walking, running and jogging. TTP has more slopy areas and it is good because I can challenge myself at these areas (Needs more energy to go up the slopy areas mah). It is more spacious than ADP. It is nice to know that there is a green lung near my house. It is also facing some of the Alam Damai houses nearby. Nice. There are a group of houses which its back are facing the park. Good scenery. Here are some of the pictures taken at ADP which includes a picture taken of the clouds and two of the sunrise witnessed this morning: Changes made to the blog Lisey's Story, The Australian Open 2009 & Alam Damai Park
