New Updates From Me

Hi Everyone, 2nd June 2009 I watched the match between Tommy Haas and Roger Federer yesterday night. Tommy Haas has been playing well leading 2 sets to love lead. He just needed one more set to beat Roger Federer. However, in the 3rd set, at 4-4, Tommy Haas' serve, at 30-30, he double faulted. Roger Federer had a breakpoint. Then they rallied in the next serve and Tommy Haas hit an unforced error. Roger Federer went up 5-4 in the 3rd set. From then on, Roger Federer played amazing tennis in the final two sets. Tommy just lost his rhythm then with Roger winning 6-0 in the 4th set and 6-2 in the final set. Roger Federer is now in the Quarter Finals of the French Open. I support Roger Federer but I wonder if he could have won when Tommy Haas went up 5-4 in the third set and he needed to serve to stay in the match. Maybe it's the same result too. Federer should reduce his unforced errors and hit more accurate and precise shots in his next few games like he used to when he was at his peak. There should be more winners and amazing shots from Federer. When Nadal was at his best, he played really well. Nadal can play very good shots and some even surprising shots to win. Federer should be like that too if he is regain his form. He has very good sportsmanship though when he loses and so does Nadal. Both Nadal and Federer are good players but they have been beaten before. Federer has not been winning a lot of championships last year. Nadal was at his peak last year but slowed down a little this year. Indians were being assaulted and robbed by a group of Australians in Melbourne. There are over 70-80 cases of these assaults also termed "curry bashings". Why is this happening? Melbourne has quite a number of Asians there being one of the top destinations for overseas study. I was in Melbourne from 2004 to 2006 studying at Monash University. During that period, I did not face any problems there. Why is this happening now? To the Indians, there are some racism note being expressed by the Australians who assaulted and robbed them. Please remember that the Indians are humans too. We need to learn to tolerate and respect each other regardless of race and beliefs. To Christians, God made each one of us equal regardless of who we are or where we are from. Everyone is equal in God's eyes. Each individual is unique, having different sets of skills and abilities. I hope that the Australian and Indian governments will meet with each other to discuss ways to prevent the "curry bashings" from continuing. 1st June 2009 Rafael Nadal, the Number 1 in the world, was knocked out of the Roland Garros Open. It is one of the major Grand Slams in the world. This was his first defeat in the French Open. He was beaten in 4 sets by Robin Soderling of Sweden (6-4,6-7,7-5,7-6). Nadal has been unbeatable in clay court. Roger Federer has defeated him in the pre-match before the French Open in straight sets. However, Nadal has defeated Federer several times last year and this year (Australian Open). Nadal has taken over Federer as world number one in the world. It is a major upset after Venus Williams was defeated by Agnes Szavay and Novak Djokovic was defeated too by an unknown. Roger Federer finally has the chance to win the French Open Grand Slam now if he plays well. I am not sure if he can defeat Robin Soderling or not if they are to play together in the rounds to the final. During the demolition works of the Jaya Supermarket in Section 14, an accident happened and a 5 storey part of the building collapsed. 7 people who were foreign workers died in the incident. There should be proper demolition procedures to ensure the safety of workers and residents nearby. The authorities need to ensure that the demolition process is planned properly. The starting point of the demolition needs to be correct. The building needs to be demolished at the right position so that it will not cause any structural accidents which may involve serious injuries or fatalities. This is to prevent future accidents from happening again. A proper assessment needs to be done to prevent future accidents from occuring. Kudos to the developer who is willing to pay for hotel accommodations at Crystal Crown, Armada and Hilton hotels for the residents evicted around the demolition area. I am also surprised that one of the famalies did not plan to go to another place to stay temporarily especially when it is very risky now. Accidents around the demolition area may happen again. They should not take the risk by not moving out. They should at least go to stay at somewhere safer. Cheers, Rogerkoo
